BELGRADE, Serbia -  March 15, 2017 - Medtronic plc (NYSE:MDT), the global leader in medical technology, today announced the signing of an Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) agreement with Atlas General Hospital  in Belgrade, Serbia.

With this partnership, both companies will contribute to the improvement of the care experiences of thousands of spine patients at the Atlas General Hospital. As part of its IHS capability, Medtronic will bring innovative spine and minimally invasive technologies, assess and identify how workflow and systems can be improved to reduce cost, and manage the operating rooms, all of which are aimed at improving efficiency and enhancing patient experience.

By working together, Atlas and Medtronic will improve patients' access to the latest medical technology for spine surgeries. Within this cooperation, Medtronic will also help the hospital to treat more patients in a cost-effective way.
