HUE CITY, VIETNAM, October 8, 2025 – Medtronic Vietnam today signed its third Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hue Central Hospital, commencing a new two-year collaboration focused on training & education and technology adoption in key specialties such as cardiovascular, neuroscience, and minimally invasive medical-surgical for healthcare professionals (HCPs). Through its strategic partnership with Hue Central Hospital, Medtronic Vietnam is advancing access to innovative therapies and supporting the development of Vietnam’s clinical expertise.

Under the previous MoU, the partnership delivered tangible progress. In cardiovascular, Medtronic and Hue Central Hospital co-organized workshops and training on advanced cardiovascular techniques, including aortic, coronary and cardiac rhythm management such as left bundle branch pacing - reinforced best practices through structured knowledge exchange. In parallel, the comprehensive Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs extended to neurovascular training and surgical innovation, including thoracic (lung) techniques and pediatric spinal deformity where both local and international experts involved to deliver the best clinical outcomes to patients.

In this third MoU, over the next two years, the collaboration will deepen and scale these efforts across cardiovascular, neurovascular care and upper gastroenterology, as well as minimally invasive surgery in spine. Some highlights include addressing common conditions affecting Vietnamese patients, such as uncontrolled hypertension and cardiovascular diseases — through advanced solutions such as include renal denervation, drug-coated balloon therapies, and TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) as well as developing the hospital to become the leading center for cerebral vascular intervention in Vietnam.

Together, the partnership equips HCPs with the knowledge and skills to master advanced technologies, aim to elevate healthcare across the country by improving treatment outcomes and expanding access for patients.
