Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, today announced the appointment of Kate Benedict as senior vice president and president of the company’s Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business, where she will also serve on the Medical Surgical Portfolio leadership team.

Benedict brings to Medtronic more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector, spanning medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and drug delivery. She is known for delivering innovative solutions that drive above-market growth, strategic portfolio management, and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Medtronic, Benedict served as president of the global Health Solutions business at Flex. She also previously held executive roles at BD, Alcon, and Johnson & Johnson. She began her career as an auditor at KPMG, where she earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
Benedict earned an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
