The company earns its highest-ever ranking on the prestigious list.
Medtronic climbed to No. 10 on this year’s DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity, earning its highest-ever ranking on the prestigious list.
This is the first time Medtronic landed a spot in the top 10.
The DiversityInc Top 50 is a leading assessment of diversity management. It evaluates companies based on their programs, practices, policies, and outcomes to hire, retain, develop, and promote women, people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, and veteran employees. DiversityInc also considers companies’ philanthropic donations and supplier diversity programs.
“It is an honor to be steadily moving up on this list,” said Dr. Sally Saba, Medtronic Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer. “We are advancing inclusion, diversity, and equity to achieve zero barriers to opportunity. And we are building a culture where all our people belong, are respected, and feel valued for who they are and what they contribute.”
Medtronic was named a top company on several other DiversityInc lists, including mentoring (No. 4); supplier diversity (No. 5); environmental, social, and governance (No. 11); and sponsorship (No. 13).
DiversityInc started the annual survey in 2001. The ranking covers companies with at least 750 employees in the United States and participation is voluntary.
