Medtronic named one of Fortune’s ‘Most Admired Companies’

Annual list measures reputation of the world’s leading organizations

Fortune Magazine announced this week that Medtronic has once again been named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies. Medtronic has regularly appeared on the list which dates back to 1997. This is the sixth consecutive year the company has received the honor.

The World’s Most Admired Companies list is considered one of the leading measures of corporate reputation. Along with the Fortune 1,000 list, Global 500 companies and other major non-U.S. companies are considered across more than 50 industry groupings. Organizations are evaluated on nine attributes including innovation, product quality, and long-term investment value.

“We're honored to once again be ranked among Fortune’s Most Admired Companies,” said Medtronic chairman and CEO Geoff Martha. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our more than 95,000 employees worldwide, all united by our Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Being named to this prestigious list energizes us to keep pushing forward, driving innovation, and making a positive impact in the world.”
