MINNEAPOLIS, Apr 24, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Medtronic, Inc. is one of America's best corporate citizens, according to the rankings recently released by Corporate Responsibility magazine. Medtronic made the top 50 list, moving up 16 spots from its 66th ranking in 2011.

Corporate Responsibility magazine's rating is based on publicly available information and is recognized as one of the nation's top measurements of corporate responsibility. The magazine ranks companies based on policies and actions relating to the environment, climate change, human rights, employee relations, philanthropy and financial and corporate governance. There are 318 elements considered within those seven social responsibility categories.
