Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, today announced the appointment of Dr. Gerald “Jeb” Denny as Chief Medical Officer for its Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business.
Dr. Denny brings extensive medical and product expertise to Medtronic, strengthening ACM’s medical strategy and reinforcing its leadership in the industry. Under his leadership, Medtronic aims to deepen its relationships with the healthcare community, customers, partners and professional societies globally. Dr. Denny will focus on delivering on the ACM vision of empowering healthcare professionals with world-class technology to personalize patient care, anytime, anywhere.

Dr. Denny joins Medtronic from BD, where he led Medical Affairs for multiple technologies and businesses, including Urology and Critical Care, Smart Connected Care, and Vascular Access Devices. Prior to his roles at BD, Dr. Denny was Chief Medical Officer for the Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA), a leader in utilization management.

In his new role, Dr. Denny will continue to devote a portion of his time practicing medicine at the Physicians’ Care Clinic in Decatur, Georgia, ensuring he remains at the forefront of patient care, clinical practice, and innovation.
Dr. Denny is board certified in both Nephrology and Internal Medicine and previously practiced as both a nephrologist and a hospitalist. He earned his doctorate in medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and his Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at Vanderbilt University.
