Part 1: Addiction

Tim Berry was about 11 years old when he had his first beer. Growing up in a small town in Vermont there wasn’t much to do other than to play sports and drink.  

Berry did both.  

He liked the way alcohol made him feel — confident, unafraid, outgoing. Not the introvert he really was. But Berry kept his drinking in check. He did what he had to do in school and got accepted into Arizona State University. He couldn’t wait to escape the cold Vermont winters. But even in sunny Arizona, dark days were ahead for Berry.
